Sewing - Slow Stitch Kit

This Slow Stitch Kit is your invitation to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy a moment of quiet creativity.

What is inside the box: you’ll find everything you need to begin:

• Four pieces of freshly laundered vintage cotton fabric
  for you to slow stitch on to. Two of the pieces have been pre-marked by us to
  provide an outline to help get you started. Each piece of fabric measures approximately
  32 cm x 32 cm.
• Four embroidery threads
• A needle and a few pins, carefully stored in one
  of our handmade needle cases
• An embroidery hoop
• A small bundle of our individually designed and
  printed fabrics, thoughtfully chosen to give you a beautiful starting point. This
  fabric can be used to embellish your slow stitched project.

There are no rules here
No set way to begin, and no “finished” outcome you need to reach.

You might start by simply holding the fabric in your hands, noticing its texture. Choose a thread that draws your eye. Make your first stitch wherever feels right. Then another. Let it build slowly, naturally.

If you’d like a little guidance, you can follow the suggested ideas included, but feel free to wander away from them at any time.
This is your space to explore.

Slow stitching is about the process, not the product.
It’s about taking time for yourself, letting your thoughts settle, and enjoying the rhythm of making something by hand.

Pause when you need to. Return when you’re ready.

There is no right or wrong, only your own way.

Please note: the final picture shows two examples of slow stitching that I created when developing the kit. These are not included in the kit.
