Slow Stitch Kit – Me Time Bowl (Reversible)

This Slow Stitch Kit is your invitation to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy moments of quiet creativity. The Me Time Bowl has been designed and developed by us as a safe container, where ‘permission’ labels can be written and stored, as reminders of things that may help you relax. This project has been designed to be completed by hand, and no sewing machine is required. However, if you have a sewing machine, it can be used to sew up the pleats and the bowl.

What is inside the box: you’ll find everything you need to begin:

This Slow Stitch Kit provides the essentials you need to slow stitch a unique design for your Me Time Bowl 

• Two pieces of organic cotton fabric, cut into circles. The circles have been pre-marked by us to provide an outline to help get you started with your slow stitching. In addition, on the reverse, we have lightly marked the fabric to show where the pleats go for the bowl
• Ten fabric labels
• Four embroidery threads
• Cotton thread (white) for sewing up the bowl
• A needle and pins, in one of our handmade needle cases
• An embroidery hoop which can be used to keep the base fabric taut and help keep the thread tension consistent
• A fabric pen
  
  The fabric labels have been individually cut to size by me and may therefore not be laser accurate. They have been included in the Kit to enable you to write words or sentences that can be used by you as a reminder that it is okay to give yourself some ‘me time’ each day.
  
  Within my bowl I have included things like 'Go for a walk' – sometimes that's just a gentle stroll around the garden, through the park, or even along my street. I love taking a moment to notice nature, whether it's listening to birdsong or admiring the flowers and trees.
  
  'Listen to music' is another favourite. Depending on how I'm feeling, I might put on a favourite CD or tune into a radio station that matches my mood.
  
  I also have 'Read a book' in my bowl. It doesn't have to be for long – it might be just a few pages, a chapter, or even taking a quiet moment to enjoy a favourite poem.
  
  If you’d like a little guidance, with the slow stitch design, you can follow the suggested ideas included, but feel free to wander away from them at any time. This is your space to explore.

Slow stitching is about the process, not the product. It’s about taking time for yourself, letting your thoughts settle, and enjoying the rhythm of making something by hand.

There is no right or wrong, only your own way.
