Slow Stitch Kit- Tote Bag

This Slow Stitch Kit is your invitation to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy a moment of quiet creativity while creating two panels for a Tote Bag. This is your opportunity to create your own, unique, functional Tote Bag.

What is inside the box: you’ll find everything you need to begin:

  • A plain Tote Bag – made from 100% cotton, which measures approximately 48 x 36 cm (not including the two handles). The bag has a gusset at the base which measures approximately 10cm wide.
  • Two pieces of fabric that have been lightly printed by us to create an outline for your slow stitching
  • Four embroidery threads
  • An embroidery needle and a few pins, carefully stored in one of our handmade needle cases
  • An embroidery hoop (12.7cm / 5 inch)
  • Gentle guidance notes to help you complete the project.

There are no rules here.

No set way to begin, and no “finished” design you need to reach.

Our Slow Stitching Kits are about the process. It is about taking time for yourself, letting your thoughts settle, and enjoying the rhythm of making something by hand.

Pause when you need to. Return when you’re ready.

There is no right or wrong; only your own way. Once you are happy with your slow stitched designs, you will be able to hand sew the panels onto the Tote Bag.

Please note: the final picture shows an example of a slow stitched Tote Bag that I created when developing the kit. Please note the finished Tote Bag is not included in the Kit.
